Our high-quality small-flake pine shavings have been a trusted choice among animal owners throughout the Southwest for years.
Sourced from fire mitigation projects in northern New Mexico, our logs are shaved, kiln-dried, and screened to produce clean, low-dust bedding with excellent absorbency. Unlike shavings made from lumber manufacturing byproducts, our process begins with whole logs and a clear purpose: to produce animal bedding. We’re not in the lumber business — bedding is our primary focus. Since animal bedding is not an afterthought, our attention to quality and functionality for the end-user is consistently at the forefront.
One of the key benefits of using green-log shavings is that they retain more of the fresh, natural pine scent, creating a cleaner and more pleasant environment in barns and enclosures — something we know your animals (and you) will appreciate. In the last 18 months, we’ve made major improvements to enhance our product:
Our new packaging now hold 15-20% more shavings per bag, with a more compact, uniform shape.
We’ve also upgraded our ‘shaver’ to deliver a more refined mix-flake product-combining the superior absorption of smaller flakes with the broader coverage of the larger flakes. Flakes range in size from 1/8″ to 3/4″; the perfect size for falling through the forks when cleaning stalls. Furthermore, we screen our shavings to remove the dust (keeping the respiratory health of your athletes optimal).

Aspen Shavings (Coming Soon)
We’ve been testing Aspen shavings and are actively working toward bringing this product to market. Aspen is a softer, low-aromatic wood that performs well for horses, small animals, and pets, offering excellent absorbency and comfort.

For Erosion Control Needs
Our wood wattles are filled with premium, large-flake shavings designed to balance durability with performance.
They are compact and sturdy enough to effectively prevent erosion, yet porous enough to allow water to filter through when needed — making them ideal for managing runoff without compromising drainage.
Our wood wattles are significantly lighter than straw wattles of comparable size, making installation easier and more efficient, especially in more difficult terrain where erosion is prevalent.

Because the shavings are kiln-dried at temperatures exceeding 1,000°F, there is zero risk of transferring invasive seeds or weeds from location to location.
